Ministry Development Coordinator

Margaret Smith

God has given us a command to take the good news to every nation. “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.Matthew 28:19. Child Evangelism Fellowship® president, Reese Kauffman, has challenged the CEF regional directors to have a presence in all 208 countries in the world by 2017. The Caribbean region has eleven countries to open for CEF. St Kitts and Nevis is one of those countries. Sister Maggie goes well equipped having been trained both in Guyana and Brazil to start and maintain a ministry to children. She has developed into a strong leader under the leadership of sister Veda Ram, national director for CEF Guyana.

The plan is for Maggie to meet with pastors and other believers on St. Kitts and Nevis to promote the need for sharing the Gospel with boys and girls. She will be training teachers, teaching Good News Clubs® and recruiting board members, prayer partners and workers. As you can see, it will be a big job, but with God's help, she will suceed. It is difficult to say how long all this will take, but Maggie is willing to stay until the job is complete. Once nationals are carrying on the ministry, Maggie will move on to anothe island after time with her family and friends.

What influenced me to work with Child Evangelism Fellowship®

I attended a Child Evangelism Fellowship Teaching Children Effectively® Level 1 training course in 1997 in Guyana. After the training I became burdened with the spiritual state of our boys and girls that prompted me to start teaching a Good News Club® and later jump started four (4) others in my village Kuru Kururu.

My Ministry with CEF

I became a full-time staff member with Child Evangelism Fellowship of Guyana in 1999 and worked as the office assistant and Friendship Club coordinator, that same year I did TCE® level 2 training. I became the prayer coordinator from 2000 – 2003 I was trained as an instructor. I attended Children’s Ministries Institute® in Brazil (Diploma in Ministry Leadership) 2002 and later became the local area director for the Georgetown area from 2004 – 2006. I was the assistant director- operations 2007 – 2010 I did the Leadership Training Instructor 1 training 2008. Presently I am the regional ministry development coordinator in St Kitts & Nevis.
