What Influenced us to work with Child Evangelism Fellowship^®

In October 1985, we went forward at our church missions conference to indicate our openness to serve as missionaries. God gave us a heart for children and for a ministry in a world-class city. In 1987 God further defined our ministry by giving us a vision for Europe and specifically London, England. He also directed us to CEF^® for a ministry with children.

Our Ministry with CEF

We served for ten years as local directors in London, England. During our term there, God was good and built a strong work and national team. In January 2002 we began a new ministry serving as education coordinators for the English, Dutch and French-speaking islands and countries in the Caribbean region.

February 2005, Stephan took on the added responsibility of regional director for the CEF North America/Caribbean Region. This position includes overseeing the ministry of CEF in Canada, the United States and the English, French and Dutch-speaking countries int he Caribbean. We oversee teacher training programs, encourage existing works and pioneer new works in 28 countries. Our main goal is to train others to evangelize and disciple children through Good News Club^®, 5-Day Club^®, vacation Bible schools, school assemblies and other special childrens meetings. We also are heavily involved in training and equipping nationals through Instructor of Teachers courses and Children’s Ministries Institutes^® in the Caribbean. One day we would like to see qualified instructors and children’s workers in every country of the Caribbean.
