Education Coordinators

What influenced us to work with Child Evangelism Fellowship

Beverly   My first introduction to CEF was during my third year of Bible College when I became a summer missionary.  This was a life changing experience and God used it to deepen my burden for the lost and most importantly children.  It was during my fourth year of college that I felt God’s call on my life to serve Him full time with CEF and thus began my ministry journey.

Janet     I had the joy of being an elementary school teacher and during my free summers I began to volunteer with CEF as a camp counselor and summer missionary.  Each summer my involvement grew until I was teaching Good News Clubs® and involved in teaching at regular teacher training classes during the school year.  The Lord led me to begin to serve with CEF full time in 1986.

Our ministry with Child Evangelism Fellowship

Beverly      In 1978 I began my ministry with CEF in Vancouver, B.C. as City Director.  In 1982 I moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba where I became the CEF Education Director for the province of Manitoba.  In 2001 I joined the Canadian national staff as the Canadian Children’s Ministries Institute Director.  It was during these years that Janet and I began working together in the CMI in Canada.

Janet      In 1986 I began my ministry with CEF and became a local director in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania and served there for 12 years until the Lord called me to Warrenton, Missouri anddevelop the ministry in the area of the CEF  World Headquarters.  The opportunity became available for me to teach a few weeks at the Canadian Children’s Ministries Institute. The next year the Lord expanded my ministry and  I became the education director of the Canadian CMI.

In August 2006, we were asked to join the regional staff of the North America/Caribbean Region as education coordinators of the Caribbean. We moved to Florida to be more accessible as we make frequent trips  throughout the year to oversee the teacher training programs in the Caribbean. Our passion is training and seeing the ministry multiplying by training others to teach children andtraining some to become instructors of teachers.  As the Educational Coordinators for the North America/ Caribbean Region we travel to the Caribbean countries to conduct teacher training as well as Instructor of Teacher courses and oversee the planning and directing of the CMI in theCaribbean. We also enjoy working with our national workers in whatever way needed to encourage them and equip them in their training ministry.
